Matthew Wilcox returns to Mintwood Place as Bar Manager after a three-year hiatus. Most recently in the same role at Le Diplomate on 14th Street, Matthew has been part of the DC restaurant community for 13 years and has worked with some of the top culinary and beverage talents in the area: under head bartender Stephen Warner at the former Eventide, with sommelier Josh Radigan at Tallula, alongside Nathan Anda of Red Apron, as well as with James Beard Award semi-finalist Chef Hari Cameron of a(MUSE), and RAMMY-winner Chef Cedric Maupillier.

Matthew enjoys crafting cocktail lists and digging up curious wine and beer offerings—but considers people-time an equally important part of top-notch bartending. At Mintwood, his goal is an approachable and refined bar program that lends itself to a full dining experience, a relaxing post-work happy hour, or simply a fun and unusual nightcap.
